An Experimental Studies on the Effects of Leejungtang
|
|
|
|
Abstract
|
|
|
In order to investigate the effects of Leejungtang, by means of oral medication to several kinds of animals, pyloric ulcer, indomethacine-induced ulcer, secretion of gastric juice, secretion of gastrin and secretin in serum, and transport ability
of
intestine content were studied as the actions to G-I tract, and analgetic effect by acetic-acid method, the effects to the time of pentobarbital-Na sleeping time and anticonvulsion were studied al the actions to CNS.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) No inhibitory effect to pyloric ulcer was statistically recognized. However, the inhibitory effect of p<0.05 indomethacine-induced gastric ulcer recognized when the Leejungtang was medicated in high thickness (750mg/kg).
2) An inhibitory tendency, which is not enough to be recognizable, to secretion of gastric juice, free acidity, and total acidity was found when the Leejungtang was medicated in high thickness (750mg/kg). No particular effect to secretion of
pepsin was
sound.
3) The inhibitory effects of p<0.01, p<0.01 and p<0.05 to the gastrin secretion in blood were recognized 30min., 90min., and 150min. after the Leejungtang was medicated in high thickness (750mg/kg).
4) The inhibitory effect of p<0.05 to the secretin secretion in blood were recognized only 180 min. after the Leejungtang was medicated in high thickness (750mg/kg).
5) The promoting effect of p<0.05 to the transport ability of small intestine was recognized only when the Leejungtang was medicated in high thickness (750mg/kg), whereas the promoting effect of p<0.001 to the transport ability of large
intestine
was
recognized when the Leejungtang was medicated both in 750mg/kg and in 375mg/kg.
6) An analgetic affect of p<0.05 by acetic-acid method was recognized only when the Leejungtang was medicated in 750mg/kg and remarkable prolonging effect to the pentobarbital-Na sleeping time were recognized as p<0.05 in 375mg/kg and p<0.01 in
750mg/kg.
7) As anti-stychnine convulsion effect is concerned, the Leejungtang showed a prolonging effect to starting time of convulsion as p<0.05 in 375mg/kg and p<0.01 in 750mg/kg. And, in both cases, a prolonging effect of p<0.05 to the to death is
recognized.
8) As anti-picrotoxin convulsion effect is concerned, the Leejungtang showed a recognized prolonging effect of p<0.05 to starting time of convulsion and a prolonging effect to the time to death only when it was medicated in high thickness
(750mg/kg).
9) As anti-caffeine convulsion effect is concerned, a recognizable prolonging effect of P<0.01 was found only when the Leejungtang was medicated in high thickness (750mg/kg). And no particular effect to the time to death was found.
